The main content of the summit was a reaffirmation of the commitment to deepening economic integration. The leaders of the EAEU countries emphasized the need to eliminate internal barriers to trade, harmonize regulatory norms, and expand the free movement of goods, services, and capital. Particular attention was paid to increasing the resilience of member countries' economies to external challenges.

A significant portion of the discussions was devoted to the development of transport and logistics infrastructure. The strategic importance of the East-West and North-South international corridors, the modernization of border crossings, and the digitalization of customs procedures were noted. Kazakhstan, as the host country, reiterated its commitment to strengthening its role as a key transit hub in the region.

In the economic sphere, the emphasis was on industrial cooperation and the development of joint ventures in mechanical engineering, energy, agro-industrial complex, and the digital economy. Issues of import substitution and the development of sustainable production chains within the union were discussed.

The financial agenda included expanding the use of national currencies in mutual trade, reducing transaction costs, and developing common payment mechanisms. The need to improve the financial stability of union countries was emphasized.

Digital transformation was also discussed, including the development of a single digital space, the implementation of electronic services in customs and logistics, and the expansion of digital trade.

In the foreign economic section, participants noted the importance of strengthening ties with third countries and expanding free trade agreements. The role of the EAEU as a stable and predictable economic partner in Eurasia was emphasized.

Cooperation with observer states was also discussed, including Uzbekistan, which, although not a member of the union, is actively developing cooperation with the EAEU in trade, economic, and transport spheres.

Overall, the Astana summit confirmed a commitment to deepening integration and moving toward the practical implementation of joint infrastructure, industrial, and digital projects aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of the Eurasian region.

The next EAEU summit will be held in St. Petersburg in 2027.
