Second “Central Asia – Russia” Summit Held in Dushanbe under Tajikistan’s President

On October 9, the Second “Central Asia – Russia” Summit took place at the Dushanbe Forum Palace, chaired by President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

The summit brought together the leaders of Central Asian countries and Russia: Presidents Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan, Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan, Serdar Berdimuhamedow of Turkmenistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev of Uzbekistan, and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

The event began with an official welcome ceremony and a joint photo session of the participating leaders. In the ceremonial Sarazm Hall, President Rahmon greeted the delegations and expressed confidence that the summit’s outcomes would further strengthen multilateral cooperation within the “Central Asia – Russia” framework.

President Rahmon emphasized that key priorities included the development of trade, economic, and investment ties, the expansion of humanitarian cooperation, and the enhancement of regional stability and security. He also highlighted the active participation of all heads of state and relevant agencies, reflecting the parties’ commitment to strengthening strategic dialogue.

During the summit, leaders delivered speeches, discussed pressing issues of regional cooperation, and agreed on joint initiatives. The meeting concluded with the adoption of a final communiqué and a Joint Action Plan for 2025–2027. President Rahmon thanked the participants for their constructive engagement and underscored the importance of fostering solidarity and mutual understanding among the member countries of the format.
