Afghan Foreign Minister Amir Khan Muttaqi stated that the meeting aims to expand political dialogue, promote economic integration, and strengthen diplomatic coordination. "Our dialogue is about opportunities and cooperation, not confrontation," he emphasized.

In 2025, Afghanistan's trade turnover with Central Asian countries reached $2.7 billion. The parties set a goal of increasing this figure to $10 billion within three to four years.

Key topics of discussion included regional infrastructure projects: the TAPI gas pipeline, the CASA-1000 energy project, and the Lapis Lazuli and Six-Country Corridor trade routes.

Security issues received special attention: Afghanistan shares over 2,300 kilometers of common border with Central Asian states. The parties agreed to coordinate efforts to combat drug trafficking, illegal migration, and extremism.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reported that the participants discussed the possibility of expanding economic and transit cooperation, as well as developing a roadmap for regional integration. Hoja Ovezov described Ashgabat's practical steps to facilitate Afghanistan's economic recovery.
