Uzbekneftegaz and China's Tapline Discuss Development of Joint Gas Projects

TASHKENT - Abdugani Sanginov, Chairman of the Board of JSC Uzbekneftegaz, and Zhong Fang, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Chinese company Tapline, held a meeting focused on developing cooperation in natural gas transit, reports the UzA news agency.

The parties exchanged views on the current state of their partnership, achievements to date, and future priorities. Particular attention was paid to the operations of the joint venture Asia Trans Gas, which ensures uninterrupted and reliable transit of natural gas through three branches of the main pipeline crossing Uzbekistan.

According to a statement from Uzbekneftegaz's press service, Tapline is a major company implementing transnational gas projects. Its key objectives include ensuring stable transit through gas transportation systems and developing new projects in partnership with other countries.

Following the meeting, both sides confirmed their readiness to expand cooperation and enhance the efficiency of joint projects aimed at strengthening regional energy security and expanding export potential.
