Uzbek logistics company Sogdiana Trans has opened a representative office in Kabul in partnership with Afghan firm Khan Daqiq Trading, Dunyo.uz reports.

Operating in Uzbekistan since 2011, Sogdiana Trans specializes in transport logistics. The company noted that the new office is designed to support Afghan entrepreneurs, streamline logistics processes, and reduce cargo delivery times.

At the opening ceremony, Hamid Khan, head of Khan Daqiq Trading, stated that his company has the capacity to transport up to 150,000 tons of goods annually by road along the Kabul–Mazar-i-Sharif–Kabul route. From Mazar-i-Sharif, cargo can be shipped by rail to Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Russia, and the Baltic states, as well as imported back into Afghanistan.

Uzbekistan’s Ambassador to Afghanistan, Oybek Usmanov, emphasized that the new joint venture is an important step toward strengthening cooperation between the two countries in transport, logistics, trade, industry, and other fields.
