UAE’s Richest Family Set to Finance "Ala-Too Resort" Ski Base in Kyrgyzstan

During an online meeting, the management of Ala-Too Resort OJSC and representatives of the Office of Sheikh Mansour discussed the investment prospects for the construction of an all-season ski resort cluster in Kyrgyzstan. Following the discussion, investors from the UAE expressed their intention to prepare and submit their investment proposals in the near future, Economist.kg reports.

Ala-Too Resort OJSC Chairman of the Board Zharkynbek Maksutov presented the Arab side with the concept of the project, which is being implemented under the personal supervision of President Sadyr Japarov. The presentation emphasized the favorable geographic location of the future complex and its potential for the development of international tourism.

The Ala-Too Resort cluster (formerly known as "Three Peaks") has been recognized as a project of national importance. For its implementation, the Kyrgyz government allocated land in the Issyk-Kul region and provided tax incentives.

Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan is one of the most influential politicians in the UAE and a member of the ruling royal family of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi.

Since March 29, 2023, he has served as Vice President of the United Arab Emirates. He also serves as Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs of the UAE.

The Al Nahyan dynasty is recognized as the richest family in the world. The ruling clan's fortune is estimated at over $300 billion.

He is the owner of the ADUG (Abu Dhabi United Group) investment group, which acquired Manchester City Football Club in 2008.

He oversees the activities of major sovereign wealth funds, including Mubadala Development Corp. and Emirates Investment Authority. Through these entities, Sheikh Mansour owns stakes in such giants as Ferrari, Daimler AG (Mercedes-Benz), and Virgin Galactic.
