Turkmenistan is committed to expanding cooperation with US business structures

Turkmenistan’s Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting in Ashgabat with Eric Stewart, Executive Director of the U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council, Turkmenportal.tm reports.

According to the Turkmen Ministry of Foreign Affairs, key areas of bilateral cooperation discussed during the meeting included trade and economic relations, the fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, industry, agriculture, and high technology, among others.

The sides also explored ways to enhance cooperation in vital areas such as cybersecurity, green technologies, and education. Special emphasis was placed on the role of the U.S.-Turkmenistan Business Council in strengthening intergovernmental relations.

Minister Meredov reaffirmed the Turkmen government’s commitment to expanding trade and economic ties with American businesses, acknowledging the long-standing positive contribution of U.S. companies to the development of various sectors of Turkmenistan’s economy.

The meeting concluded with both sides expressing a mutual interest in further advancing their partnership, the report said.
