Oil production units of Turkmenistan’s state-owned company Türkmennebit in Balkan province are rapidly developing local fields and boosting hydrocarbon extraction, Orient.tm reports. Special focus is currently on the Uzynada field, where operations are advancing at a dynamic pace.

In the first six months of this year, drillers from the Ekerem management unit surpassed their production targets. A total of 24,369 meters of rock were drilled—2,677 meters above the planned figure. The plan was fulfilled at 112.3%, according to the Turkmenistan newspaper. Of the total, 21,169 meters were drilled for production purposes and 3,200 meters for exploration.

Turkmenistan continues to actively develop new oil and gas fields as part of its “Oil and Gas Sector Development Program of Turkmenistan until 2030.” The involvement of foreign investment and the use of modern technologies are driving the sector’s specialists toward new achievements.
