Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, and Uzbekistan Hold Trilateral Summit in Avaza

A high-level trilateral meeting involving Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, National Leader of the Turkmen people, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, and Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev began in the National Tourist Zone “Avaza” on the Caspian Sea coast, according to Turkmenportal.tm.

State news agency TDH reported that the international event marks a new stage in regional relations. The three countries are currently cooperating effectively across multiple sectors, including political and diplomatic affairs, which is essential for ensuring peace and sustainable development in the region.

“Holding a high-level meeting between neighboring countries on the Caspian coast carries deep significance. It also strengthens the status of the Avaza National Tourist Zone as a hub for major international events,” the agency stated.

As previously announced, the summit agenda includes expanding multilateral cooperation in trade and economy, transport and communications, energy, and humanitarian spheres. A number of joint agreements are expected to be signed following the meeting.
