President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a meeting with Eiji Hosoi, President, CEO, and Representative Director of Japan’s Toyo Engineering Corporation, who arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the Independence Day celebrations, Turkmenportal.com reported.
The Turkmen leader highlighted the important role of major Japanese companies, particularly Toyo Engineering, in strengthening and advancing Turkmen-Japanese cooperation. The partnership, he stressed, is of a long-term and strategic nature, with Japanese firms making a substantial contribution to unlocking the economic potential of both countries.
The sides noted successful collaboration in the oil, gas, and chemical industries. A key example is the construction and commissioning of the large gas-chemical complex in Kiyanly, a polymer production plant built with Toyo Engineering’s participation.
Berdimuhamedov underlined that Turkmenistan’s ongoing economic development programs and industrial reforms open new areas for cooperation. He confirmed Ashgabat’s readiness to consider specific proposals from the Japanese company.
Hosoi, in turn, assured that Toyo Engineering would make every effort to live up to the trust placed in the company, according to the state news agency TDH.
