DUSHANBE - Tajikistan continues to implement a pilot project to digitalize public services, aimed at developing e-government and the digital economy, Avesta.tj reported, citing the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies under the President of Tajikistan.

A key element of the project is the Unified Portal of Public Services, which allows citizens and businesses to access essential services electronically without visiting government agencies.

Hundreds of public services are already available through the portal, including issuing powers of attorney for driving vehicles, obtaining certificates of criminal record, permits for vehicles with tinted windows, registering marriages, and obtaining construction permits.

The agency noted that users can access services 24/7 from anywhere in the country and from abroad with internet access. According to the project's developers, the introduction of digital services will help reduce administrative procedures, increase transparency in government agencies, and improve the quality of public service.

The agency also announced plans to further implement digital solutions and pilot projects in various sectors of the economy using modern technologies and international experience. According to the agency, e-government development is one of the priority areas for modernizing public administration in the country.
