Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia Discuss Investment Opportunities in Energy and Water Resources

Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia held talks in Dushanbe on potential investments in the country’s energy and water resource sectors, according to the press service of the Tajik Ministry of Energy.

The meeting between Tajikistan’s Deputy Minister of Energy, Manuchehr Safarzoda, and the President of the Federation of Saudi Chambers, Hassan Al-Huwaizi, took place as part of the Tajik-Saudi Investment Forum.

During the discussions, particular attention was given to the implementation of joint projects in the energy sector and the processing of agricultural products. The parties also explored opportunities for cooperation in the export of drinking water, fruits, vegetables, honey, and cotton fiber.

Earlier, Dushanbe hosted a major investment forum featuring representatives from both the public and private sectors of Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia. Participants expressed mutual interest in strengthening cooperation in areas such as the green economy, digitalization, mining, and transport infrastructure. A series of bilateral meetings between business representatives of both countries were also held on the sidelines of the forum.
