A specialized interagency visit by a government delegation from Turkmenistan, organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Climate, Energy, and Environment of the Republic of Korea, concluded in Seoul. The talks focused on the implementation of Korean digital technologies in Turkmenistan's water management system and the preparation of proposals for the upcoming Central Asia – Republic of Korea Summit, Orient.tm reports.

The delegation included representatives of the State Water Resources Committee, the Research Institute for Water Resources Engineering, and the diplomatic mission. Turkmen specialists examined the operations center of K-Water Corporation, modern water treatment plants, and hydraulic infrastructure, and learned about solutions in digital monitoring, automation, and water loss reduction.

During the Multilateral Meeting on Cooperation in the Water Industry between Korea and Central Asian Countries, the parties emphasized the transition from sharing experiences to implementing specific projects, including equipment supplies and joint construction of facilities.

For Turkmenistan, as a country with an arid climate, effective water resource management is a strategic objective. The introduction of modern technologies will improve water use efficiency, enhance infrastructure control, and reduce the impact of climate factors.

International cooperation in this area is particularly important for all of Central Asia, where water issues require coordinated solutions and the exchange of best practices. The partnership with the Republic of Korea creates opportunities for technological modernization, strengthening environmental safety, and developing a sustainable water resource management system in the region.
