As part of the visit of the delegation of Turkmenistan led by the Minister of Foreign Affairs Rashid Meredov to Azerbaijan on July 3, a meeting was held with the acting Deputy Prime Minister of Afghanistan for Economic Affairs Abdul Ghani Baradar, Orient.tm reports.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed current issues in the field of political, diplomatic, trade and economic cooperation, the press service of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry reported.
Particular attention was paid to energy and transport and communications cooperation.
In particular, the issues of construction of the transnational gas pipeline Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan - India (TAPI), power transmission lines and fiber-optic communication along the route Turkmenistan - Afghanistan - Pakistan (TAP) were touched upon.
