The Kyrgyz Republic is participating in the 62nd session of the Bonn Climate Change Conference under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), according to the official website of the President of Kyrgyzstan.

The national delegation is led by Dinara Kemelova, the Special Representative of the President of Kyrgyzstan for the Five Years of Action for the Development of Mountain Regions. The primary goal of the delegation is to draw international attention to the challenges faced by mountain regions, advocate for the protection of fragile mountain ecosystems, and unite mountain countries and their partners in promoting a mountain-focused agenda within global climate negotiations.

The Kyrgyz delegation is actively participating in sessions on climate adaptation, implementation of existing commitments, and is holding bilateral and multilateral consultations on key environmental topics.

A milestone during the conference was the first official meeting of the Mountain Partnership Negotiation Group, initiated by Kyrgyzstan and Andorra. The group includes 11 countries and aims to institutionalize mountain-related issues within the UNFCCC framework. During the session, members reviewed foundational documents and explored ways to integrate mountain concerns into future decisions, programs, and work plans of UN climate bodies.
