Kyrgyzstan Increases Honey Exports by Almost 50%

In the first four months of 2025, Kyrgyzstan exported 143.7 tonnes of honey - 45.9 tonnes more than during the same period last year. In 2024, 97.8 tonnes were exported in the same timeframe, marking a 47% increase. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of Kyrgyzstan, according to 24.kg.

According to the ministry, the main export destinations for the January–April 2025 period were:

  • China – 82 tonnes (the largest importer);

  • United Arab Emirates – 24.5 tonnes;

  • Uzbekistan – 15 tonnes;

  • Kuwait – 4.6 tonnes;

  • Qatar – 6.3 tonnes.

Imports:

  • 2024 – 44.8 tonnes;

  • 2025 – 0.5 tonnes.

The ministry noted that imports have almost entirely ceased, indicating sufficient domestic production and growing trust in locally produced honey.
