Kyrgyzstan and WB Sign $101.5 Million Financing Agreement to Support Sustainable Growth

A formal signing ceremony was held in Bishkek for a financing agreement between the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic and the World Bank under the project "First Development Policy Financing for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth," 24.kg reports.

The agreement was signed by Kyrgyzstan’s Minister of Finance, Almaz Baketaev, and the World Bank’s Regional Director for Central Asia, Hugh Riddell.

Under the agreement, the World Bank will provide $101.5 million in budget support aimed at promoting sustainable economic growth, advancing social development, and implementing key structural reforms in the country.

Speaking at the ceremony, Minister Baketaev expressed gratitude to the World Bank for its ongoing support and partnership. He emphasized that the contribution of the international partner plays a crucial role in strengthening Kyrgyzstan’s socio-economic potential and improving the quality of life for its citizens.
