President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov made a statement to the media following talks with Mongolian President Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, who arrived in Kyrgyzstan on his first state visit. The visit was described by the presidential press service as “an important milestone in the history of bilateral relations,” reflecting the two nations’ commitment to strengthening friendship.

The presidents discussed a broad range of issues spanning politics, economics, investment, science, and tourism. A key outcome of the meeting was the signing of a Joint Declaration on establishing a comprehensive partnership, which, according to Japarov, “elevates cooperation to a new level.”

The two leaders agreed to enhance political dialogue, hold regular high-level contacts, and expand inter-parliamentary ties. In the economic sphere, the focus was placed on increasing trade turnover, creating favorable conditions for business and investment, and holding a Kyrgyz-Mongolian business forum during the visit. They also discussed prospects for transport corridors, logistics, and cooperation in the mining industry.

In cultural and humanitarian areas, plans include academic and scientific exchanges, joint educational programs, and initiatives to preserve cultural heritage.

On international issues, the presidents noted the alignment of their positions on several global matters. Kyrgyzstan reaffirmed its support for Mongolia’s integration with the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), including the trade agreement signed in June 2025.

The talks concluded with the signing of several bilateral documents aimed at strengthening the legal framework for cooperation and implementing joint projects.
