Kazakhstan has seen a significant increase in grain exports during the current agricultural season, according to a press release from the Ministry of Agriculture.

Between September 2024 and July 2025, the country exported 12.4 million tons of grain and flour in grain equivalent — a 34% rise compared to the same period last year (9.3 million tons).

The most notable growth was recorded in exports to Central Asian countries: Uzbekistan (+28.2%), Tajikistan (+39.2%), and Kyrgyzstan (a 2.5-fold increase). Record volumes were also achieved in trade with Iran (17.3 times more) and Azerbaijan (a 120-fold increase).

“One of the key achievements has been the expansion of export geography — for the first time, shipments have reached Belgium, Poland, Portugal, Norway, and the United Kingdom,” said Kazakhstan Railways, the national operator responsible for grain transportation.

Deliveries to Azerbaijan, Georgia, and Turkey have resumed after a five-year pause.

The national grain operator “Prodcorporation” has also dispatched its first shipments of wheat to Morocco (60,000 tons) and Vietnam (15,000 tons). The surge in exports underscores the global competitiveness of Kazakh grain and the effectiveness of state support for the agricultural sector.
