TASHKENT - Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will develop industrial cooperation, the heads of the official delegations of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan announced after a meeting in Uzbekistan and negotiations, Sputnik-Tajikistan reports.
Talks between Tajikistan's Minister of Industry and New Technologies, Sherali Kabir, and Uzbekistan's Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, Laziz Kudratov, took place in Tashkent.
During the meeting, the parties discussed expanding industrial cooperation and promoting joint initiatives in metallurgy, mechanical engineering, and the textile industry.
Furthermore, the ministers agreed on cooperation in the production of construction materials, pharmaceuticals, and other sectors of strategic importance.
Both sides expressed interest in the practical implementation of joint industrial projects, identifying next steps for infrastructure development, the commencement of construction work, and the launch of modern production lines in the two countries.
It was emphasized that further development of investment and industrial cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan will contribute to strengthening the two countries' strategic partnership, increasing bilateral trade, and promoting sustainable economic development in the region.
