Foreign investment volume increased in Tajikistan

Tajik President Emomali Rahmon announced a significant increase in foreign investment in the country's economy, the press service of the Tajik president reported.

A seminar-meeting of President Rahmon with the heads of regions, cities and districts of the country was held in the Dangara district of Tajikistan.

"In January-April 2025, 15.4 billion somoni ($1.54 billion) of foreign investment was attracted to the country's economy, which is 49% more than in the same period last year," Rahmon said.

He drew attention to the fact that the share of foreign direct investment in the total volume of foreign capital is insignificant, it is only 5.5%. In a number of regions, there is no foreign direct investment at all.

The President of Tajikistan instructed relevant departments and the leadership of regions, cities and districts to expand their activities to attract direct investment to implement the country's strategic goals, including industrialization and the creation of new jobs.
