The 2025 Forbes ranking of Kazakhstan’s wealthiest individuals has not only become richer but also slightly younger, Kazinform reports.

The combined wealth of the listed individuals grew from $46.6 billion to $57.5 billion, while the average age dropped to 55. Several newcomers entered the list following high-profile deals and the strengthening of their assets, while some long-standing members made significant upward moves.

Topping the list is Vyacheslav Kim, whose fortune rose by $1.3 billion to $7.1 billion. The most impressive growth, however, came from Timur Turlov, whose assets increased by a record-breaking $2.6 billion in one year, boosting him from fifth to second place with $5.8 billion. Other top ten members include Vladimir Kim, Timur and Dinara Kulibayev, Bulat Utemuratov, the Ibragimov family, Nurlan Smagulov, the Sarsenov family, and Aidyn Rakhimbaev.

Among the notable newcomers is Andrey Lavrentyev, who debuted at 12th place with $840 million after consolidating the assets of KarMet and the Allur Group. The list also welcomed Nurlan Artykbayev (construction and telecom), Tursengali Alaguzov (beverages and food), Askar Baitassov (restaurateur and founder of ABR), former boxing champion Serik Konakbayev (oil and gas), media entrepreneur Alidar Utemuratov, and "Olimp" founder Yerlan Suleimenov.

This year’s list was compiled amid major shifts in the global economy and a surge in activity among Kazakhstan’s dollar millionaires. According to the Global Wealth Report 2024, Kazakhstan ranks in the global top three for growth in the number of high-net-worth individuals.

Among those who dropped off the list are Hill Corporation founder Dulat Kozhamzharov (included in the register for asset recovery), as well as Eldar Abdrazakov, Berik Kaniyev, Yuri Pak, and Raushan Sagdiyeva.
