The 2nd Dushanbe International Tourism Exhibition (DITE-2025) took place from September 18–20, reaffirming the Tajik capital’s growing role as a hub for regional and global tourism, Avesta.tj reports.
The event brought together over 200 companies, including 65 international participants from Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and the Americas. Attendance surpassed 10,500 visitors — a 50% increase compared to the inaugural 2024 edition.
DITE-2025 served as a dynamic platform for B2B meetings, memoranda signings, and showcasing priority tourism sectors: eco-tourism, cultural heritage, sports, and medical tourism. Tajik national holidays — Nowruz, Tirgan, Mehrgon, and Sada — were promoted as signature tourism brands.
Visitors praised the national cuisine festival featuring plov, fatirmaska, and shirchoy, while delegates engaged in discussions on digitalization and sustainable tourism practices.
Organizers plan to expand DITE in 2026 with a stronger digital platform, more international partners, and deeper focus on niche tourism segments. Experts agree: Dushanbe is steadily positioning itself as Central Asia’s next major tourism destination.
