Astana Think Tank Forum 2025 Discusses Strengthening Trust in the International System

The Astana Think Tank Forum 2025 was held in Astana under the theme “From Polarization to Partnership: Restoring Trust in the International System,” organized by the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies (KISI) under the President of Kazakhstan under the auspices of the Astana International Forum (AIF), reports Kazpravda.kz.

Presidential Advisor Magzum Mirzagaliev emphasized that Kazakhstan consistently upholds the values of peace, trust, and responsible diplomacy, following the vision of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Erzhan Ashikbayev highlighted the importance of building constructive consensus and strengthening multilateralism to maintain a stable and fair world order.

The forum also hosted the III Central Asian Forum on Security and Cooperation, where experts discussed the transformation of the international security system, regional cooperation, Central Asia’s role as a bridge for global dialogue, the impact of Afghanistan on the region, the development of trade and transport corridors, nuclear disarmament, investment, climate change, water resources, artificial intelligence, and related ethical issues.

KISI Director Zhandos Shaymardanov noted the forum’s effectiveness as a platform for trusted dialogue and practical solutions. The event was supported by ERG, Kazakhmys, and AGROMASH.
