An interagency workshop was held in Ashgabat to present and test a pilot version of the Digital Climate Finance Tracking Tool (DCFTT), Turkmenportal.com reported.
The platform was developed by the Ministry of Natural Resources of Turkmenistan jointly with the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and the Green Climate Fund (GCF) to attract investment in the agricultural sector, sustainable land management, and forestry.
FAO international expert Metodia Dimovski presented the system's architecture, and representatives of national agencies tested its functionality in an interactive simulation. Specialists practiced data entry and verification algorithms, focusing on confidentiality issues.
The implementation of the DCFTT will systematize the accounting of financial flows and improve the efficiency of implementing Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) under the Paris Agreement.
